Project Catsnip is offering a $10 discount from their already low prices for spay-neuter surgery for cats during the month of June. The discount is available with a coupon that can be printed from their website www.projectcatsnip.com and can be used at any of the clinics scheduled for June. Project Catsnip operates a mobile veterinary clinic and travels to locations all around the Atlanta metro area. The schedule of clinic locations and dates can be found on their website and appointments can be made online.

Project Catsnip is part of the Atlanta Animal Alliance, an organization whose goal is to reduce unnecessary euthanasia by reducing pet overpopulation through their spay-neuter program. In addition they operate Wellpet Humane, a veterinary clinic in Doraville that offers low-cost medical services for both dogs and cats to people who are financially challenged. By helping to make keeping a pet affordable they help to prevent economic euthanasia, the result of an animal being turned in to a shelter because the owner cannot afford to provide for it. Find out more at www.wellpethumane.com.

Lifeline Animal Project recently opened their second low-cost spay-neuter clinic in College Park. This, along with their original clinic in Avondale Estates, makes it easier for people on the south side of metro Atlanta to obtain spay-neuter services. Information about locations, pricing and appointments can be found at
www.atlantapets.org.

Lifeline Animal Project began in 2002 with the help of Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah. They now have a really nice shelter in Avondale Estates with space for both dogs and cats, and two spay-neuter clinics. In addition they support an active feral cat spay-neuter-release program and foster care for many dogs and cats, while working with other rescue groups to find homes for as many animals as possible

Fulton County Animal Services offers low- or no-cost spay-neuter services for residents of Fulton County through the SNAP program (Spay-Neuter Assistance Program) who need financial assistance. Information is available at
www.fultonanimalservices.com. Appointments can be made by phone or online.

There are many more options available for discounted spay-neuter services and financial assistance than we can cover here. For as complete a listing of these services as is available, go to http://www.spotsociety.org/atl_shelter_list.htm#spay
